About
We’re building a community response Web site (and Facebook application) to help people find volunteer opportunities and connect with organizations during disasters.
By the way, we’re still working on this, please bear with us.

Let’s do a partnership!
I run a site that matches up donors and charities. Seems like a great matchup!

Had a blast, and I expect incredible things from this one.

I love the concept. Many of my family members suffered through Katrina and something like this could provide additional help to the many individuals who lost everything.
Please send me an invitation when you go beta.

That’s awesome! Good work deciding to give back.
I wonder if there’s any way to integrate your new application with our Web site, volunteermatch.org?
We’ve been matching volunteers and nonprofits since 1998 and today have over 1.3 million volunteers and 54,000 nonprofits in our network. And one of our coolest features is our new Emergency Response Volunteering Map, which mashes up our listings with Google Maps:

One of our abiding philosophies has been to narrow the number of places that nonprofits need to go to post their volunteer opportunities. It’s time consuming and challenging to keep listings updated throughout the Web. We try to give them a single place to go and stay on top of their recruitment efforts.
While we’ve got a lot of social networking presence, we don’t have a Facebook application yet — mostly from lack of resources. In fact, this winter we’re hoping to recruit a volunteer team with experience to develop something for that platform.
Feel free to drop a line if you’d like to learn more about matching volunteers and nonprofits together. We’re online at http://www.volunteermatch.org.
